THEME: A MISTY FOREST LANDSCAPE.
Things required:
1. Art canvas board – Size:30 x 40 cm (12 x 16)
2. Acrylic paints – 7062 Prussian Blue (blue)
7085 Viridian Hue (green)
478 Titanium White
031 Burnt Sienna (brown)
Black
3. Brushes – Camlin square headed brushes ( size: 1, 6 and 8 )
Lets get started:
First apply titanium white to the middle part of the canvas where the mist is supposed to be, using horizontal strokes. Then take blue and green and apply it to the upper part of the canvas, the colours will blend as you apply them. Use some white to lighten the colours, this portion is later on going to imply trees. Add thin strokes of brown and white to show the bark of the trees giving the effect of them being at a distance. Make two large trees on both sides of the painting with dark brown. Dab the brush with a mixture of dark green-blue or black to show leaves of the trees. Use the same technique to add bushes at the bottom of the trees. Now add blue and white for the river. Make rocks with black and white. Add a few branches to increase the depth of the painting and in less than ten minutes the painting is ready .
My Experience:
Creating a painting in only ten minutes? Usually when I paint it takes me at least an hour or more to get the desired results. Sometimes the painting takes days to complete. So while taking up this one I was quite nervous about the result. But thankfully it looks fantastic and for once I am completely satisfied with what I see in front of me. I saw this painting on Youtube on the channel “stay creative painting”, and was really excited about trying it out. Accomplishing this feels great!
Do let me know in the comment section if you liked this painting.
The challenge is a novel concept and fun to watch.

I am happy to find this post in particular. I am relatively new to acrylics and I am always happy to find artists who are willing to impart their knowledge…I am looking forward to more of these posts
