DIY WOOL RUG

THINGS REQUIRED:

• Wool
• Scissors

PROCEDURE:

STEP-1

Take some wool and wrap it around your four fingers.

STEP-2

when you feel it is big enough take it off your fingers and tie it tightly in the middle with a piece of wool.

 

STEP-3

Now cut the loop on either side. You will get a round ball of wool. But the result will not be the same and you may feel your pom pom isn’t looking right so at this stage what should you do?

keep trimming the edges till the pom pom looks the way you want it to.

 

THE ALTERNATIVE WAY TO DO THIS IS TO WRAP IT AROUND A CIRCULAR CARDBOARD WITH A HOLE IN THE CENTRE AND REPEAT THE SAME STEPS.

( I prefer this way of doing it so this is how I did it. )

 

 

Your pom pom should look something like this. Repeat the steps and tie the pom poms together and your mat is ready. The more pom poms you add the bigger your mat will be.

 

MY EXPERIENCE:

It was so  simple and easy to make this DIY wool rug. It is worth the time and patients put into it. Most importantly had a lot of fun making it. I did it using the second method, you can use which ever method you prefer.
